①Please introduce your restaurant.

While honoring the traditions of Japanese cuisine, I’ve spent the past 15 years studying a variety of culinary styles—Japanese, Western, and Chinese—to express flavors that resonate with today’s diners.
Located in Tanimachi Rokuchome, Osaka, Kirari is a restaurant that highlights the individuality of each ingredient through carefully crafted dishes.

②What values or principles are most important to you as a restaurant?

We value flavor, aroma, temperature, and presentation, aiming to deliver deeply satisfying cuisine in a comfortable atmosphere throughout the entire course.

③ How do you select your ingredients, and what do you prioritize when sourcing them?

Every morning, I work directly with markets and producers to source only the finest seasonal ingredients.
Rather than focusing on regions, we build our course around the ingredients we carefully select each day.

④ What makes your restaurant unique compared to others?

Located in the peaceful neighborhood of Karahori, our restaurant emphasizes restraint over extravagance—the art of subtraction is central to our philosophy.

⑤Do you have any particular approach or philosophy when it comes to plating and presentation?

When plating, I value inspiration while drawing on years of experience to create harmony between the dish and its vessel.

⑥ How do you curate your selection of alcoholic beverages?

We select sake from breweries across Japan, focusing on bottles that complement the cuisine.
Wine pairings are also available upon request.

⑦ Can you tell us about your attention to interior design, tableware, and the overall dining atmosphere?

A counter-style setting, handcrafted tableware, and subtle lighting.
Each element is designed to enhance the meal and create a space where guests can naturally unwind.

⑧ What inspired you to become a chef?

It all began when I realized how much happiness a single word—“delicious”—could bring to someone.
That pursuit has guided me ever since.

⑨ What kind of guests would you like to welcome?

Guests who cherish the food, the space, and the time they spend here.
We value meaningful encounters with people who truly enjoy the experience of dining.

⑩ Are there any rules or things that are not allowed in your restaurant?

We kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing strong fragrances. Please notify us in advance of any food allergies.
Photography is welcome as long as it does not disturb other guests.

⑪Do you have a message you'd like to share with your guests?

I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to connect with you through food.
